I ordered the inTune to replace my DashDAQ.
My wifes Pontiac Grand Prix GXP was the first thing it was plugged into. I tried to upload the included diablo tune, it froze after wiping out the ecu. The car would not start and was effectively disabled. After an hour or so I was finally able to get a base tune on it, but if I try to go back to factory now it disables the ecu and you can't do anything with the car. Also if I leave the tune on the car (the only one that works) it disables the DoD and the car constantly sounds like it can't level off the RPM's at idle.
The second issue is that the diablosport will power up but will not connect to my 2004 BMW M3 for diagnostics and clearing a check engine light.
Since I bought the unit it has been used that one time to tune my wifes car and has been plugged in for all of 10 minutes and the case screws are falling out.
Honestly the build quality and usefulness of the unit is sub-par to say the least. I now have a vehicle I can't unistall it from or it wont run and a vehicle that it can't connect to....
And surprise surprise, I can't use the web site for tech support because there's no category for the inTune.

RE: inTune Issues -
What exactly happens when you try to restore the stock tune?
Where does it freeze?
The M3 is not currently supported, universal OBDII diagnostics have not yet been implemented.
There are tunes that do not disable DoD as well.
Feel free to give us a call with the tool in the vehicle if you need some assistance.

RE: inTune Issues -
None of the other tunes work. The only time it worked was on the tune with the DoD disabled. It fails right after it erases the ecu on any of the other ones.
I thought I saw a post that said it would clear CEL's on any vehicle 1996 and newer?
Also where are those weekly updates? I haven't seen anything and I bought the tuner a month ago!

RE: inTune Issues -
why would you think there are weekly updates?
We havent run into anything that required an update...please get the info.xml file from your tools 'inTune' drive and post it here or email it to us.
Thanks

"inTune Supported Vehicles: (I-1000 covers everything below)
The below product chart represents the inTune's initial release only. This chart will be UPDATED WEEKLY as we continue to add more applications to the inTune. Ford and Diesel vehicles will be added very shortly and will be available via free online update(s)." Taken directly from the inTune web page.
As far as having not run into anything that would require an update, there are tons of posts of people having problems in your forum. I counted over 20 problem threads, that's more posts than your "post positive experiences here" thread has. I'd say that some updates are in order, especially the write issue problems that are bricking vehicles ecu's.
It is a 2006 Grand Prix GXP 5.3L LS4, and at this point I'm hesitant to try anything else as the vehicle is needed for a daily commute to work. As I stated in the original post the vehicle becomes a brick with any of the other tunes or if I try to uninstall the unit.

RE: inTune Issues -
"This chart will be UPDATED WEEKLY as we continue to add more applications to the inTune" the supported vehicles CHART, not the inTune... there is no new vehicle support other than what's already on that chart, so therefore, no need to update the CHART...
and yes, your 2006 GXP is supported... it will not work on the BMW...
so yeah, as mike mentioned above, please get the info.xml file from your tools 'inTune' drive and post the info from that file here...

Actually that was my answer to your question of where it said there would be weekly updates.
As for the BMW stuff I remember a post that was linked off this site that said something about being able to use it to clear check engine lights on any 1996 or newer vehicle. I will find the link later and get back to you on that.
