where did the ram 1500 thread go?

Post by 4azdmunky »

There was a 4 pg thread here where I was posting updates and having dialog with tech support on about Intune NOT working with my 2009 ram 1500. That thread is now gone. Where did it go?

Are you sure it was on this site? The history isn't showing any other posts from you.

yup it was on this site. Ive been monitoring that thread daily because it does not work with my truck yet, and same with another member.

That also was the only thread i had posted in (new member), so it also reset my post count.

from what i heard they need to get an 09 test truck to see why its failing in the truck. mine keeps going to limp mode while trying to load. Doubt its gonna be a quick fix but who knows.

What do I need to do to trade mine in towards a trinity? Apply for a RMA? I need to get something installed on my truck!

Ugh, who know how long that will take to find a truck local that has the same problem.
Trade in/up is an acceptable solution. I emailed Mike Wesley their CEO last night. Hopefully this can be resolved quickly.

Have you call with the tool powered up in the truck so we can attempt a few fixes?

Yes I have tried a couple weeks ago, and that was when we hit this problem (after working through a bunch of others).
Please understand that it is VERY difficult to call during business hours and be somewhere with internet. I work in a closed area and am not taking this in where security will shred it (its a storage device). So unless i happen to take time off from work, which I did last time, this is very difficult.

just got my i1000 today, set it up on PC just fine, loaded update.. then connected it to my 2007 Dodge ram 1500 5.7 hemi.. will not work, go to "tune vehicle" then "write vehicle" turn key to ON when prompted, and the "run" icon will freeze up and it does nothing :(

got my intune in today. I get the same thing, plug it up to my 2009 Dodge ram 1500 and go to write vehicle and turn the key on and it freezes up and does nothing. This is getting very aggravating.

Mine did the exact same thing, it would freeze up when first trying to communicate. I called into tech support, Vaz walked me through resetting the InTune. he then sent me a file that was put in the root of the writeable InTune drive. After that I was at least able to get to the canned tunes, but when it tries to "Write" it rolls over and pees on itself.
My recommendation is call in to techsupport, go through the reset, have a laptop handy so you can get the file and update, and see if you get any further. I am also curious to see if you get stuck at the same place Slaughterhouse and I are at.

If you two do get to the same point, then thats at least 4, 2009 rams that are experiencing the same defect.

call tech support this morning, Vaz was able to walk me through the rest with me as well, installing a file in the root menu, then I WAS able to write a tune in my truck, so it DOES work.. he explained that they have seen this happen in few inTunes where when programming it needed to be reset after loaded and this step may have been missed.. but it works fine now, Good Luck

Hey 4azdmunky, I called this morning and they reset it and i got further with it and yep you're right ! I was able to get to the canned tunes and when it goes to write the back up it just fails. I think I just might send this back and go with something else. This is more problems and pains than I was looking for.
