What is the difference between the mpg and 87 octane tunes? I am trying to decide which to run in my truck and can't find anywhere what the big difference is or if there is any.

I would think that they would sooth things out on the mpg tune vs adding timing and tweaking the set up for power on the 87 tune. I would still log and clean up what ever tune you go with which will only help with mpg and performance.

the mpg booster tune is an 87 octane tune with changes made to throttle settings, and DOD/AFM settings, but with less performance enhancements done to it... it is still better than stock, but is not as performance oriented as the regular 87 Octane Tune or the Diablo Tune...

Anybody have any test results of the mpg capable out of each tune? 2011 Silverado 4.8 ext cab 2wd with tow package and 3.73 gears, on stock tune with 3500 kms I'm getting 19 city and 23 hwy (I drive this thing like a grandpa, traded in a 350 HP 09 Cobalt SS Turbo and am trying to get rid of the need for speed) if the 87 tune is gonna give better performance and only a minor difference in mpg that's what I will use right now I am running the mpg tune will run that for a month and then swap to the 87 unless someone has already done this and can say there isn't a real huge difference.

I ran the MPG tune briefly and I hated it. Truck felt worse than stock and couldn't get out of it's own way when you pressed the throttle to get on the ineterstate. And towing wit hit, forget it. You're better off getting out to push...... Now the 87 Octane tune works great, feels like an entirely different truck.
I have my AFM tuned out and didn't notice any drop in MPG from stock.

I drove it a little today and yea it does feel a bit sluggish but I don't need the power or tow, it's just used to get to work and back so MPG is my priority.

The energuide sticker says 18 city 27 hwy so far I've beat the city rating my goal is 20 city and 28 hwy I think it can be done just have to get it dialed in just right! The turbo SS was 15-18 city and 20-26 hwy, it's pretty damn impressive getting close to the same MPG as a 2800 lb car with my loaded 5000lb ext cab truck!
