JLT Made more power but went slower at track

Post by cprperf »

I have a 2011 GT, automatic, Has Kook header, x-pipe and Magna Flow Exhaust, T-1000, With the stock intake on the 93 tune the car made 390 and ran a best of a 12.08. Install the JLT and then the JLT 93 tune. Car made 399. On one pull it made about 20hp less at lower RPMs but still made 399 up top. On another pull it made about 20 more down low and still 399 up top. Ran the car last night, 60' was about .005 off and the car just seemed a little lazier. Ran a 12.34. Any Suggestions. Seems like it could have used a little more timing down low. ??
Thanks

weather changes?
MPH is the true indicator of power, not ET, what were the before and after trap speeds?

How did the AFR look with the JLT tune and CAI?

On the Dyno the AFR was around 12, almost identical to the stock intake. It was about 1mph slower in the 1/4 and about 2 in the 1/8 Thanks again.

The weather was about 15 degrees warmer. I was thinking of adding 2 degrees global. Whats your thoughts on that.

No, not a good idea, we add timing in the tunes based on dyno testing, its not likely to take 2 more degrees ;)
