It looks to me like most of the time, flashing your PCM with the inTune (or Trinity) works just fine. But Murphy's Law being what it is...it makes me wonder what happens if the worst case occurs and you end up losing power during a flash.
I have a 2011 Tahoe, I presume the PCM is located on the side of the battery box, is that right? Could I just take the PCM out of the truck and take it to the local dealer to have them re-flash if something went wrong? Or would I have to have the truck physically towed to the dealership? Or send in the unit to Diablo and have them ref lash?
Wouldn't the dealer be a little bit suspicious if you had to go to them with a dead vehicle and ask them to reflash for you?
If something goes wrong with flashing the PCM...what's next?

either tool will check for low voltage before the flash, if it is an issue, it will not let you proceed.
if you did manage to lose voltage during a flash, the vehicle can generally be relfashed to fix it.
Most dealerships dont have a bench flash option, they would usually need the truck.

This is where you say to the dealer after the GM warrenty tow.... I turned the key and nothing! and if you had disconnected your battery to try to reset it... My neighbor tried to assist me after it happened!
Only one thing to say about my "Diablew" Tune!
