Is a new tune need for cmcv delete plates?

I've in the past asked this same questions at other forums and was told that I would need a tune to shut off the operation of the stock cmvc plates. Is it true or will I be able to do this my self with this tuner (u7140). I have a 06 stang with a C & L intake, steeda pullies, long tube headers, axle backs.

You will need to get a Custom Tune from one of our CMR dealers to turn them off.
