Now that I can log data......

Okay I have logged some data and have no idea what I am looking at.
I have seen sample data on the GM cars but is does not look the same.

What I am looking to do is monitor spark as well as air fuel ratio. I see all the pids but nothing that resembles either of these items? Is there a breakdown of the pids? Since a dyno is over 700 miles away and custome tuners are just as far out, my only option to enhance the canned tuned is with data logging and adjusting based on that. So is there a breakdown of the pids that list what they mean so that I can begin the process?

I too live quite a ways from any dyno or tuner, so this info would be a great help for me as well. Thx!

I have that as well, but what I need is a break down of the pids so that I can tell what I am looking at. If you log data you can see there is a ton of info to capture, I am just looking to capture a couple items and if I had a definition for the PIDS I would then know where to capture the data I need. Know what I mean?

The default dashboard for your vehicle should give you the basics you need. For the 7135 the default dashboards are the exact ones used by Johan to tune the cars.

To answer, I need to know what vehicle you have.

I am running on a 07 Daytona. Since the DCX dashboard is a little different then the GM one that is why I am confused. I don't plan on doing to much in changes, but if I could see I am a little lean or could add a little more ignition then that would be a great benefit. Once I need to get radical after a cam then I could justify driving a great distance or sending you guys a data file to tweak a custom tune.

Thanks

The default dashboard gave me 9 parameters, most of which didn't make sense.

I'd like to know where to find the A/F ratio and/or long term fuel trims.

There's a ton of PIDs and I'm no expert so most of them make no sense to me.

BTW I have an '07 Charger SRT8

Can we get a description of the default dashboard so we can diagnose what we are seeing? It would be nice to be able to add/remove fuel and timing if needed

bump on that, and I'd also like to know what the "torque" pid is measuring.

Is there anywhere on here or another site that goes into how what data logging is and how to use it and how it will benifit me to do it, same with the pid's. I'd really like to learn all I can, before I'm in Italy with my charger and have no one to work on it but me.
