2010 mustang v6 - shifiting issue

so when my car is at WOT in 4th gear, instead of shifting into the OD band (5th) it thinks im calling for it to kickdown into 3rd, and it bounces between 3rd and 4th until i let off the gas. when i turn the overdrive off, when i get into 4th at WOT the car kicks down into 3rd and back to 4th again. any suggestions?

stock tires, 4.10 gears and T-Lok. i talked to Ryan at BAMA and he said that it's the torque converter locking up because the car won't let the transmission shift into overdrive at WOT. when i have some free time off of work im going to make a video of what is happening.

first thing id wonder is if the speedo is correct

speedo is correct, i checked that. i'll get some video of what's going on tonight and post it. it shifts fine from 1-2, 2-3, 3-4, but when i hit 4 it immediately drops back to 3 and i have to let off the gas pedal to bring it back to 4 and then into OD. i dont care if it wont hit OD, i just want it to be able to run all the way thru 4. im only getting to about 4200 RPMs or so when it throws me back into 3 and then to 4 until i let up on the pedal.

I have been scouring the Internet all day and found that people were having the same issue as me but with the predator tuning. I read the Kevin from your company fixe the problem for these people. Is there any hope for me? Am I gonna have to just live with sporadic shifting when I hit 4th gear?

This thread is exactly the problem I'm having. Shifts into 4th, immediately drops to 3rd, let off and it goes back to 4th, and then shifts to OD

Yeah, that thread relates to a specific issue with one specific calid, fblf152, on 06 Gt automatics. He did fix those tunes back in 08, and it has not been an issue since.

Go ahead and post up your stock tune and the last tune written from your Trinity and we'll check it out.

here is the stock tune and the 93 Race tune from BAMA. I also have a 93 performance tune and a 93 street tune from BAMA. i'm not sure if they have the same issue as the race tune because i just got the files today. i'm gonna load them and test them later on.

the 93 Performance and 93 Street tunes do the same thing.

Im curious if you have the issue with the custom tunes as well...

its only the custom tunes. the diablo tunes work fine. i got an updated file from Ryan at BAMA and now the transmission downshifts to 3rd like it has been doing, then i let off the gas a little bit, it shifts into 4th and then rides 4th out. it's so close to being fixed!!

like i stated in my previous post, im getting into 4th and having the same immediate downshift to 3rd. i let off the pedal a little bit and it shifts back to 4th. i put the pedal back down to the floor and it stays in 4th now.
