2010 GMC Sierrra 2500HD 6.0L - Intune does not turn on

Post by asucapmor »

InTune Part #i1000
Version 1r01h
Serial No CIB95DD-1

Vehicle
2010 GMC Sierra 2500HD 6.0L Gas
InTune device does not turn on when plugged into the ODB port. Does not recognize VIN.
When connected to a computer, device did not load proper driver. Can not find exe file.
An update seemed to process, but no real confimation of success.
Previous VIN loaded in the unit, but that could be the test vehicle. VIN 1GT125E88CF106577
Tool info says Locked 0/1

Received the product from AutoAnything. No original packaging, no promotional item.

I expected to use this product right out of the box, not happy with current status. Currently at 30 minutes on hold with phone tech support.
I read good reviews of the product, but am no contemplating swtiching to Superchips tunner for my truck.

1 hour on hold with tecnical support with no answer. Not happy after spending almost $400 and not having the ability to use the device.

A nice message of "we are out of the office" would have been better than "all of our associates are busy with other customers, your call will be answered in the order it was received."

Please elaborate on the fuse issue. The instructions don't state anything about using a 12v port with the intune programmer. I did however, plug that in at the same time i was plugged into the ODB port when trying to trouble shoot the issue. When i was plugged into the 12v port as well as the ODB, i was able to get the device to power up, only because of the 12v, but it would not recognize my vehicle information. That is where I saw the vin number in the last vin loaded section under tools.
The device does not come with a 12v port cord, i used the usb plug-in and a 12v adapter i already owned.

I have not used the ODB port on this vehicle yet, i will check this evening if there are any power wires or fuses that are connected to the port.

the fuse would be related to the fuse that supplies 12V to the OBDIi port, usually the cig lighter fuse.

Last night i hooked my InTune device to a truck that is currently tuned with a Superchips programmer. The InTune did not turn on when hooked to the OBD port.
I then took the Superchips programmer that I use to tune the other truck, it turned on correctly when plugged into my GMC.

The issue is either with the InTune device, or the cable that came with it.
I will be talking with Autoanything today or tomorrow to work an exchange. I'm not going to continue dealing with the InTune device, not sure yet if i will stick with Diablo Sport.
