2007 monte carlo ss

i just received my trinity programmer and and i think its awesome!only problem im having is my car has a cold air induction kit and wants to cut out or die under somewhat of a load>im assuming i need a tune for the cai for it to run properly.my question is can i just get the proper tune downloaded at any dealer or tuner nearest me?is it gonna cost me more money?thanx

a custom tune will cost a few bucks, but there is agreat write up here that will get you started for free

He shouldn't need one for a stupid intake though. Theres a problem someplace else. Probably a vacuum leak or air leak someplace, or a dirty fuel filter since its happening under load.

right,i was thinking maybe its running way lean since the car ran just fine until i put the cai on it which was prior to the trinity hookup.guess i'll double check all my connections.thanx

yeah, something's not right...

so after you installed the CAI it's been running like that?? check all clamps/bolts, make sure everything is TIGHT... make sure you didn't disconnect anything and forget to reconnect it after you were done, etc... you've got a physical/mechanical issue with the car somewhere...
