stoopid question - reset all parameters?

Ok I've got a really dumb question but it's always bugged me...

I have a custom tune to flash over, I select the tune, hit Install, and it prompts to "Reset all Parameters Y/N?" What exactly is it asking to reset? Stock parameters? Previously-written tune parameters? Parameters on the custom tune??

Obviously I don't want to reset any parameters that my custom tuner guy wrote for my car.... so I select NO. Then I searched for a forum thread that says to select YES or some parameters might overwrite/conflict. Now I'm totally confused...any help is appreciated!

I understand. I know you should reset all parameters such as timing and so forth but I had my speed limiter off and I also have 373 gears which the cmr ask for. So Does the cmr dealer see that and keep the adjustments with the last tune written or do I need to keep them changed in the modify parameters.

if you changed anything like WOT spark or fuel, you'd want to reset them, so yes is the best idea.

if you need to change for gears or speed limit, just do it after resetting them.

i use this thread so i haven't to open a new one...a while ago i've installed a 91 octane performance tune,and a bbk cai..now i installed long tube headers,i've eliminated the cats,O/R x-pipe,borla touring exhaust,and so on..i've ordered a custom tune from you to disable the rear O2 sensors and get everything working....now that i'm installing the tune, the predator aske me too if i want to reset the parameters,'cause i'm installing a new custom tune..what i have to answer?and,if i press yes,the predator is going to reset all the parameters on the custom tune i'm going to install,or what?
