What could Diablo do for a 07 Silverado 3500HD gas tow truck

Just thinking about the idea. It has the 6.0L gas engine and probably weighs over 7,000 pounds empty which can go to over 12,000 pounds loaded. At little more than 10 mpg, I certainly don't want to use 93 octane. And I doubt I would notice an extra 20 hp but what could Diablo do?

Use the 93 octane. I use 93 in my CTS-V and I'm averagng a little over 8mpg. Its only money. Fun gets priority, money be damned!

Umm, like I said, this is a tow truck. A 300 HP 6.0L tow truck. And it ain't no fun driving it, empty or loaded. Now if I could get 550 HP like the CTS-V, I wouldn't mine paying for the 93. Can Diablo do that?

Well, in a truck that heavy, it may be worth trying the better fuel, as the increase in low end torque may require less throttle input, resulting in an MPG gain around town...
