2006 Silverado

Post by 06Silverado »

I have a 2006 Chevy Silverado with the 5.3l. I'm thinking about getting a Trinity sometime soon and I just want some info on the Trinity.
1. TheTrinity is supposed to take off the speed limiter. Is that true?

2. I'm going to be putting a 6 in. suspension lift and 35's on my truck towards the end of the summer. If i get a custom tune the trinity should be fine, right?

3. It says the Trinity will work with 93 octane. Will 87 or 89 octane work? We don't have 93 octane around here.

4. I also have a couple mods like a cat back exhaust system and a Spectre cold air intake. But with what I've seen that shouldn't be a problem with the Trinity, right?

Sorry for the dumb questions but I'm younger than most people on here and my truck means a lot to me so I wanna know that I'm getting something that will work without harming my truck and not just become an expensive paperweight. I've heard Diablo is the best by a lot of people though so I'm not too worried about it becoming a paperweight.

1. Yes.
2. No need, just adjust tire size in the tool.
3. Yes, there is an 87 octane tune as well.
4. Correct.

Oh you can change tire size on the tool. That seems really helpful. Looks like Trinity has everything I'm looking for. Thanks for the help Mikel.

Ok so there's only the 87 octane tune. Is there any way to get an 89 octane tune? I'd like to keep running 89 through my truck but if the tuner says 87 then I guess I'll go to 87.

you can run 89 with the 87 tune, but there is no need, and you'd save a few pennies using 87...

Oh ok. And I could save a few pennies but there are some gas stations around here where 87 and 89 cost the same. But I think I'll go back to using 87 to make sure the tune is working good. Thanks for your help

let me know if you're interested in a custom tune at all.. because if you are, I sell the Trinity and offer a package deal for it plus my custom tuning at a reduced cost, so you'd save money....

Sweet. I was planning on getting the Diablew tune. Does the Trinity come with the dash mount and the charging cable and all that stuff? I just want to make sure lol

Oh yea...What octane gas would I have to use with the Diablew tune?

yes, the trinity comes with everything you need... no need to buy anything extra...

I can do the tune for 87/89 octane, or 91+ octane... whatever you want...
