07 LBZ

Post by thime »

I am new to this forum, just ordered the U7186 and I have read a few places that the "Economy" setting may not give me the "Best" mpgs. I do mostly city driving with an occasional trip with 32ft fifth wheel RV. I'm looking for the best MPG's for both applications. Should I go by the written recomondation or has anyone found anything different?

I have an 06 LBZ. My mileage in town was about 14mpg. On the highway it was about 18mpg. After I purchased my predator and installed the 65hp tune I added almost 2 mpg to both city and highway mpg. Since then I have been running the 85hp tune. The weather has warmed up so I'm not able to make a accurate assessment as to which tune gives better mpg. Right now with the 85hp tune my city mpg is right at 18mpg and my highway mpg is almost 21.

My suggestion is try them all. Every truck is so different. Plus it depends on what other mods you have done (blocker plate, intake, exhaust). I personally run the 120 tune all the time unless I tow heavy weight then I drop it down to the 65 or 85 tunes.
