Corvette LS6 Tuning User Review

Hello.
I purchased the Diablo Sport Trinity to be able to tune up my Corvette. Apart from the Diablo I have only added a K&N open air filter in the car.

My first dissapointment (correct me if I am worng) was when I found that this product does not have a specific program made for the Corvette, but a general tune made for all kinds of GM cars with that engine, cars that has not been made to do laps on a track as the Corvette is made for.

I have done more than 100 laps on the Nurburgring race track with the car, and have a consistency that makes me able to compare, even though it is not scientific at all, as it depends on temperature, humidity and several other parameters.

But with all these laps I did have a few findings about the Trinity Performance tune: --My top speed at the track decreased with about 3-4mph.
-My lap time decreased
-My engine failiure lamp started to glow..(but went back to normal the next day when I drove on normal roads again). Too lean/rich??
As for the fuel consumption, it seems as if it decreased on normal road driving, but it is not possible to say if that was the case on the track.

My conclusion on this product..so far..is that it is meant to decrease fuel consumption, and does not give any performance effect at all.
Since it is marketed as a tuning device, I would like to know how to get a performance tune to my car that actually works out of this product.

the tune for your vehicle is based on YOUR specific calibration in YOUR PCM. There is nothing generic about it.
You cant take a tune for one Vette and put int in another, does not work that way.

Id suggest you do some logging to see whats going on. Id bet you are getting some knock somewhere, which would explain the decreased power.

Thank you for your answer but I do not understand.
I just uploaded the "Performance Tune" that was preinstalled on the unit, after choosing the make and engine of my car.
I have not done any calibration to the standard settings. Am I supposed to do that to get it to give any more power??
