So I just got my new intune last night, updated it right away (after a few tries on my PC). Plugged it into my 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland which has the 5.7L HEMI, after following the instructions and tuning the key to ON I get a "VIN Validation Error" message. I've checke the Firmware info in the settings menu and it says "Application: 1r01i" and everything under that says "missing(*)"...Anyone know what's going on exactly???

plug it back into a PC, let the intune.exe run, and let it update everything :)

Plug it in again even though I plugged it in/updated as soon as I opened it and just before plugging it into my Jeep?

if you go to settings , tool info. firmware the application should read 1r02a and the dbs under that should all say 1r0? they should not say missing. as chances are they are if you are getting vin db errors

let the intune exe run again and it will finish the updates.

Ok, so I hooked it up to my PC, walked away and let it run for quite a while. It seems to have updated completely a it now reads "Application: 1r02a" and everything under that says either "1r01x(*)" or "1r01x(ok)"...

After plugging it in to my truck it says "PCM calibration for (my VIN) is currently not supported..." It will let me adjust the TCM and that's it...Now what???

after it says that, it asks you to connect to a PC and let it download an update for your Jeeps calibration, let it do that and your PCM will be supported ;)

Shouldn't it have done that when it updated to 1r02a?
How many times do I have to update this thing??? :x

no, it is telling you that your vehicle needs an update, since it has an older calibration.
It has no way to know that until you plug it into your truck and let it see whats going on there ;)

Ok, I did that and it asked me to register the intune...Can it later be restored to new (ie all that info erased) in the case that I ever want to sell it?

registration is only good to the original owner, as it the warranty ;)
