Bouncing off rev limiter
Hello to all, I installed the Diablo last night and used the performance tune and changed my fan settings. when i took out last night and this morning, i was in, i think second or maybe thrid, it bounced off the rev limiter till i let off the gas, then it shifted. any ideas. also what should i set the fan settings at for low mph and high mph. i put them between 183 and 190 degrees.

RE: Bouncing off rev limiter
Sounds like maybe you installed the modify stock tune, rather than one of the performance tunes with the rev limiter raised?
Thanks

RE: Bouncing off rev limiter
then i will go back and install the performance tune
Re: RE: Bouncing off rev limiter
SRT Charger- Last night I reloaded the performance CAI tune following the download of the new update. Afterwards I tried to explore how to access some of the parameters listed. I enetered the Quick adjust menu where I was able to reset the transmission TCM and select raising the shift points. I did not have an option to set those points just a "yes" or "no" option. I selected "yes" and was wondering (1) what are the actual raised shift points settings via the modified performance CAI tune and (2) how can I access the modification window where the rev limiter is located? I just could not seem to map myself to this location. I must be doing something incorrectly. Thanks!mikel wrote:Sounds like maybe you installed the modify stock tune, rather than one of the performance tunes with the rev limiter raised?

umm look in the manual for the shift points its listed (i know 5.7 is 5800 and 6000), its a static raise, i think its 6200 for 1-2 and 2-3-4-5 is 6400. when you go to load up a tune, pick that tune, then pick modify tune, there is a rev limiter raise option. I kicked mine up 200 and no problems at all hitting it so far.
I do wonder, whats the stock rev limiter set at in a 5.7? just wondering if I can kick it down to x+100 rpm (right now its X + 200) and still be ok.

Verified shift points default to 6400rpm when selected. Thanks
