Strange Happenings IN M MODE

So this past weekend i was putting the TCM through the paces. Put the tranny in M mode. When i do this i always take it out of Sport mode by tapping the down shift paddle and the indicator on my dash goes from S to M1. Anyway i then proceed to jump on the car and go through the gears. When i was done i parked the car turned it off went into my local dunkin donuts to get a nice large iced coffee. Started the car put her in drive and the car would not shift i looked at my dash indicator it said M1 but my shifter was in DRIVE. I stopped the car put the shifter back into park and back down to Drive and it was fine. So Mikel did you guys have any issues like this?
