Vin Locked

I purchased my trinity new and had it in my dodge charger for about a year. A week ago I reset it to stock (i know for a 100% fact that I did because you can tell the sluggish difference and the car doesnt perform nearly the same. I watched it say that it was reset to stock) and traded my charger in for a 2010 Jeep Wrangler. Went to get it all hooked up in my wrangler today and it is still vin locked on my charger and I can't even update it to the newest version. Why is it still vin locked when I know that i set it back to stock and is there any way to unvinlock it?

Its locked because you installed the stock tune, instead of restoring it. Unlocking will cost $179, unless this is a known issue. Fill out an RMA request if you want to have it done.

aw damnit really. stock tune is different than restoring it? I feel like an idiot! lol. Do I actually have to send it back to them or can I pay the money and they send me a code or something? I'm leaving for a road trip on thursday and was hoping to get my jeep tuned by then. Appreciate the help Mike.

You'd pay and then call in. They'd reset it over the phone. Wait until Mike Litsch see's this in the morning though. He'd know if this is a known issue or not. If it said it was reset and didn't then it might be an issue
