unable to read vehicle?

[mustang01]

I purchased a model 7146 off ebay.

when i try and install the performance tune it says unable to red vehicle. and tells me to make sure the key is on.

It will allow me to read and clear trouble codes. If I read the last code written is original back up so I do not think it is VIN locked.

My car is a 1996 GT. The web site only shows info for 1998-2004. The seller siad this tuner will work on 1996-2004, and the 1996-2004 are essentially the same car.

version its running is V.7R5OD don't know if thazt Makes a difference.

Any assitance would be greatly apprecitated

The Predator does not currently support programming the 1996 & 97 vehicles because they use a different PCM.
