Have a 2005 gmc with the 6.6 it saved the backup but went to install tune and stopped at 43 percent shutsoff then restarts saying pcm write failure. Truck wont start help me plz

Has revgaurd which unhooked after reading posts and trailer brake also unhooked. Has remote start also unthough sure its factory. Its a service truck and i need it.

got any aftermarket electronics, like a stareo or remote start?

If so, remove any non factory wiring from the stock harness, and unplug anything that did not come from GM,. and let it restore the backup.

I did it has stock stereo sure its factory remote start. Took to dealer to fix. So now how do i fix tool? If it comes back fixed and i reattempt and it fails again then thats more money and time wasted. Anyway to reset tool?

I dont want to tune this thing anymore i was pulling hair out on it all night

How do i reset my tool got a new ecm $1940 later

we would have gladly picked that PCM up and repaired it for you, it certainly did not need to be replaced.

Fax us proof of the pcm replacement and give us a call within an hour or so with the tool powered up so we can unlock it for you.

I will fax it as soon as it comes back from dealer next week

Ill see if i can get ahold of the old ecm and then maybe send to look at? That way i can have a spare maybe if it is ok.
