Diablo "Canned Tunes" Temperature Settings (C-SRT8

Post by Kinny »

I am seeing some Knock Timing Retard (Short Term as high as 8 deg, Long Term as high as 2 deg) on both the 91 & 93 Octane Tunes, and I am trying to develop some base-line numbers using the original tune to compare against.

My Charger has the 180 deg T-Stat, for which the predator tunes seem optimized for. Is there any way to get the Diablo Tune Settings for the following so that I can modify it for my factory tune?

Cooling Fans AC OFF
___ Deg - High MPH HS Fan On
___ Deg - High MPH MS Fan On
___ Deg - High MPH LS Fan On
___ Deg - Low MPH HS Fan On
___ Deg - Low MPH MS Fan On
___ Deg - Low MPH LS Fan On

Cooling Fans AC On
___ Deg - HS Fan On
___ Deg - MS Fan On
___ Deg - LS Fan On

My mods include: Mopar Cat-Back Exhaust & 180 Deg T-Stat.

Thanks in Advance,
Kinny

If you go into modify the Diablo Tunes, it will show you what they are set at within the tune.

Is there any way to access this information without having to begin the download process (i.e. wait on original to backup, modify parameter?). If not, is there a way to cancel the download after getting the information I am looking for?

If you are wanting to see the Diablo canned tune settings, do as you would normally to install one of the canned tunes. Instead of Install, select Modify Tune. Go to each of the fan setting options and record the setting shown for each and press ESC. You won't have to install the canned tune to view the built-in settings...just act like you are going to modify but don't. ESC all of the way back out.

Hope this helps.

My fans run all the time; any suggestions on the temp settings? What are the stock temps?
Thank you in advance

That depends on what thermostat you're running. I'm assuming you're running the stock thermostat? If so, I'd recommend bumping up each of the fan settings in your Predator canned tune by 5-7 degrees. The canned fan settings are geared more for a 185 degree thermostat than they are the stocker.
