I finally recorded some data last night and what I would like to know is what exactly should we be looking at to get the most from our tuner. The only thing I have not messed with on the tuner is the fuel and the spark. I am currently running the 93 cai tune.

I've added a list of Common Parameter Acronyms that should help folks determine out what the parameters are.

If you are looking for "how to tune" advice, there is no authoritative Diablo manual for it currently. I suggest you start with Monte's Tips. There are tons of tuning resources on the internet as well.

I'd recommend monitoring the following PIDs:

KNK ST Retard
KNK LT Retard
Open Loop FA

This is your short term knock retard, long term knock retard, and air fuel ratio.

You'll obviously want to monitor these at WOT and not at idle or part throttle. Therefore, you want to look at them only when the accelerator pedal position is at or near 100%. Accelerator pedal position is another PID which can be logged with the Data Viewer or the handheld unit.

It may also be useful to monitor other variables such as engine coolant temp and intake air temp.

Note: the open loop FA variable will not be accurate if you have an aftermarket intake, as that skews the readings. If you guys want to tune your car safely, a wideband oxygen sensor would probably be a good investment.
