Request: Publish Release Notes on Website for inTune updates

Post by Foonus »

I have used the inTune now for just over half a year and had good success with both the device and its auto updates via PC.

This being said, there is still room for improvement with the updates for this device, mainly the 2 following points:

Would be awesome to see a forum post here indicating new versions of inTune image available for current update. For example the latest build is InTune-1r02c 08/15/2012 02:07:04, and to this day 3 days later there is still no mention of it on the forum here, let alone what has changed in it.

Release notes... please tell us what has changed so that we can see if it was a bug fix that affects out rig and is a necessary update, or if the update is a fix for NASA's latest space shuttle and has absolutely no effect on our personal configuration.

The auto updates shouldn't be a guess and test procedure in these regards. I can see the possible hesitation in posting that the unit (for example, not implying that is does) has had a bug in previous revisions that has been forcing the users vehicle to do something wrong, but i am also equally as sure that the customer would rather the issue simply be resolved rather than complaining about it in the first place.

Regardless, accurate release notes show both professionalism and openness in the sense that the company is open with its customers and has nothing to hide. Users will also appreciate not needing to update the unit when the update has absolutely no effect on their personal configuration (and won't waste time doing it), but will be pleasantly surprised when they see a point in the release notes that DiabloSport has fixed or added something specific to their rig.
