IDLE SURGING

I've seen this posted somewhere before but the idle surges have gotten worse since the Predator install over a month ago. It's still not dangerous but getting to the point you have to watch for it when things are in close proximity. I have the 93 CAI tune in it.
Yesterday after the Mopar Challenge I set things back to the origonal tune so I can update the tuner and the idle is back to normal.
I have a 5.7 Hemi Magnum with AFE StageII CAI, 180 degree thermostat, JBA hi-flow Cats & Zoomers.
At the drags the 93 CAI tune is HOT (13.7-8s) but the surging is a pain around town sometimes. I'll see if there's any difference with the 16a update but it's something you guys need to address.

AJ, you are local, correct?
If possible, i'd like to have you stop by sometimes so we can check it out.

Thanks

Thanks for the offer Mike.
Yesterday I put in the 16a 93CAI tune and the idle issue seems to have subsided but now I'm getting a knock when I initially floor it. I'm using Amoco / BP 93 octane fuel.
I don't put a lot of miles on the car during the week so I'm going to give it a few days to let the Xs & Os stabilize but if it still knocks or the surge comes back I'll give you guys a call and bring it up (I'm in Plantation).
I'm holding on to a very slim points lead in the Moroso Mopar Challenge so I need to have it right for the final on 12/1.

I actually have a tune fix for anyone with the surge issue, so if you want to try it, email me your backup file and I'll get a tune out to you asap.

Thanks

Ok, sounding dumb where is my backup file? How do I make one?
Do you also have a fix for the knock. My guess is you upped the spark a bit for better throttle response in 16a?

No spark added in the new rev.

To extract a backup file, follow the instructions I am going to email you.

Thanks
Mike

can you also email me the tune... a couple of times, the sure occurred while I was shifting to D or R which caused the car to actually move a bit... dangerous! almost hit the guy in front of me,,, I think u need to look closely into this issue.

I need a copy of your backup file so I can fix it for you.
Nothing more to look into, as we have isolated and fixed the issue.

Thanks

Hello,

I jus recieved my Predator for my 06 Charger R/T, and it works fine...
The only problem is the idle, when in P or N, the RPM seems to go up and down, as it wants to stall, my headlights go weak then come back on, but it drives fine, shifts fine, everything else is fine except the idle...

I was directed to the site by a few guys from the forums, and said there might be an update that can be emailed to me?? Dunno if this is the same problem or not but I heard a few other members had a problem with it too... Not sure of the build date...

Could it be because of the fuel im running, 95 OCT?? U see I am from the middle east, Bahrain to be specific, and my car has a basic Mopar CAI, and Mopar Performance Exhuast...

Any help would be appreciated, and I am sorry if this is a different topic than my problem, didnt know where else to post it? No Thread Hijack intended...

Thank You
Fahad.
