I plug it into the USB or OBD and it freezes about a few seconds into the red bar.

they are automatic, nothing to download.

if its already freezing and wont get to the main menu, its too late, it will need to come back to us for a fix.

Thanks

I have the same issue. I used it back in April 2012 and it worked great. I have not used it since as things were going on and the car got put on the back burner  . Last weekend I decided to restore my 2006 Chrysler 300C back to stock so I could do all the necessary updates to the tuner. Plugged it in and it freezes when the red bar gets to about 2/3.

Based on the above answer it looks like I need to return the tool for a fix. I just have a couple questions first:

1) Will I loose my stock tune?
2) Will it come back completely updated (including the big one to fix all the bugs), or will it just have that one bug fixed and then I will have to do all of the updates myself?

Thanks.

Having this same issue. Have not updated the intune recently. It's about 1-2 years old. Only used once to put a tune on my otherwise stock SRT4. What should I do? Send it in? Is there a charge for that, its already pretty inconvenient to have to send it in...

I'm currently in the exact situation and am getting the same kinda help. Pay full price when we buy it, pay to ship it back, and then pay $99 to get it to update. We should be able to do this from home or its a defect and let's call it what it is. This isn't right guys

Its under warranty for a year, if sent with a copy of the receipt there may not be any repair charges.
