As much as I wish I didn't have to deal with it, every year I'm stuck driving my car through the winter. Going back to the stock tune isn't an option, as I have heads and cam in my 6.1L and it won't run right without the custom tune.
But it sure would be nice to make both the torque management and the adjusted throttle response, selectable, so the car can be driven when it snows...
Could this be done?

Well, you could use the older revisions with the normal throttle response.
Thanks

OK, so does that change the torque management?
How do I do that on my custom tune?
Do I have to load the old cron to do that?
Was that answer basically being blown off?

Ok, I'll take that as a "Yes".
Hurry up and get the single user license version of CMR out so we don't have to even bother asking.

My are we impatient.....
I have not blown off a single post in this entire forum, EVER.
Putting TM back would take away most of the other benefits of the tune, like the shift firmness, and the car would not feel like it was 'tuned', so maybe using the stock tune in the winter is your best bet.
I figured that the increased throttle response was the bigger issue, sorry for trying to help.

LOL, yes I am impatient. But I asked on another forum as well and didn't get an answer there.
The point is Mike, I have a custom tune, so putting in a stock tune bascially disables the car and makes it run dangerously lean at WOT. And in the winter, trying to drive a >400 RWHP car in the snow, the shift firmness and lack of torque management is undesirable. Fortunately I only have to suffer a couple of months of that crap, and then I'm back to enjoying the excellent work your company has produced, when the white goes away.
My tuner has done a tune for me for the winter, so the car doesn't just end up sliding endlessly when the ice and snow hit.
I can't use a stock tune.
I can't use a stock tune.
I can't use a stock tune.
Thanks for your help and attention to detail, Mike! I love the product and I'm looking forward to the single user CMR software!

OK, gotchya.
Your tuner can easily set you up with a tune that does not remove much TM and also set the throttle response back to stock for use in the winter.
Thanks

Thanks Mike,
I figured you've just been really busy, which is why I had to make a PITA out of myself by standing on the chair and waving my arms... LOL!
Going in the dyno tomorrow AM, but I'm lovin' what my tuner's done already. Being able to monitor with Predator to the laptop is awesome, so I've already been profiling the tunes I know are good, on the road. Tweaking the timing now, and running with all stock throttle response on the tunes, which I prefer. (Easier to control how much I want, through a corner.)
Absolutely fabulous tool. You guys do great work. Can't wait to throw more cash at you when the single user license version comes out.
