Looks like I may be forced to sell her. Doctors want to fuse a couple of vertabrae in my neck, and if I go ahead with it, theres no way I'm gonna be able to get in and out of a car. May end up having to get another SUV (Escalade/Denali or X5M) or a pick-up (SRT10 or Cummins Ram), something I can get into without bending my neck forward ('cause it ain't gonna go).

2011 CTS-V sedan
Black Diamond edition; RPO and Window Sticker Verified. Only 1500 of each body style made. Color now offered as an option, but no more limited edition RPO PCH cars.
6.2L S/C V8
6 speed Automatic
Brembos all around; 6 pot fronts, 4 pot rears
Every option (recaros, ultraview, suede wheel and shifter, etc)
Only 3500 miles
Pushing between 650-675hp now, have a ported snout and pulley to push it over 700.
Has been run exclusively on BP/Amoco Ultimate 93 gas.

Books in the mid-high $50's stock. I have about $7500 in receipts for add-ons and services. Would let it go for $60k, no less.

Again, this is only if I go ahead with fusion surgery. I'm looking at other ways to fix ruptured discs without fusion, so I may not have to sell.

Went back to the Doc today. Definitely gotta have some surgery, maybe not fusion though. Waiting to hear back from the surgeon. Seriously freaking out.

As excited as they were when I told them I was gonna be trading in the V, I really expected better at North Bay. Have an appointment with the owner on Thursday, so I'll clean it up nice, and try to press him for $55k (or a deal on a Denali). Only 1500 PCH (Black Diamond Edition) sedans were made. Thats gotta be worth something.... I hope.

$52K is on the high end of trade, which is pretty much the category yours fits in since it's "limited edition" and only 3600 miles. Considering used 2012s are selling for $57K-$58K, and leftovers for $60K-$61K, that would put your 2011 at $52K to buy, maybe another $1K because of mileage and limited edition model. Dealer would hope to get $56K on a $52K trade. I'd only buy at $53K, maybe $54K if certified. So the avg buyer would spend another $3K if they don't know the market.

Even $53k I'd take. Denalis TrueCar price is $57k. I owe $36k on the V. Do I have to pay tax on $40k, or just $4k? I don't recall how it works.

Yeah, by 2 different dealers (Star Toyota, and North Bay Caddy). Star originally offered much less, but I let them know right off the bat that their original offer wasn't gonna fly, so they convinced the Used Car Manager to offer book value. Looks like I'm gonna end up trading it to them. Drove the Denali again today this time over not so good roads, and my head made love to roof. Thats how I messed up my neck initially, so I'm not letting that happen again.
