Auto-Stick

Since no one is answering my thread/ has no answer except it shouldn't do that I have to start something new I guess.

I set my Charger's Auto-Stick to Mode 1. The shifts are great if you hit them right on point. If you shift a split second too late the car will trip into limp mode and needs to be restarted. Like I said as long as you don't hit limp mode it feels perfect. I did switch it back to stock mode and I do not have the same issue. Stock will shift instead of kicking into limp mode.

Now why not use stock? It shifts early kicking you out of the power-band. It is too smooth and just doesn't have the kick Mode 1 has.

From what I can find Mode 1 should act different than what I am seeing. Any ideas? How can I get more out of my shifts?

each vehicle reacts differently to mode 1, mode 2 (and mode 3 if available) based on the specific tcm calibration in the vehicle. What mode 1 does for one person may be totally different for another, its up to you to decide which one you prefer, if any at all.

The issue I have is I like the way Mode 1 feels when it shifts. I just think it is delayed when it shifts. In Stock the car will shift early before I want it to. I switch to Mode 1 and it feels right, the issue is it is delayed a couple milliseconds causing a shift to become limp mode. If its not dead on it dies. If you are dead on its perfect. What happens if your in an autocross setup and you are in a position where you cant upshift, so you rev out the gear your in? Just a thought.
