I am taking my Challenger in for service tomorrow, so I wanted to put the original back-up back on the car. When I plug the DS Predator in to the OBDII port, it boots and says: "The application is missing or corrupt"

Predator: U7135
Part#: 2005-20 DS LX &
Crom: 9r28
Car: Dodge Challenger SRT8

Help!!!!

Tom

Do you have that CROM file for 9r28 still? If you do, use DSDownloader to "Update Tool" with it. It probably won't find the tool, so you'll have to use Legacy Connect and select the port its connected to.

If you don't have the CROM, 9r30 might work. Not sure.

Thx, I do have the 9r28 CROM still around. But will it delete my original backup if I reinstall this a new CROM?

I don't think it will. Not sure. With the older DSDLs it never did, but the new ones might since they require you to return to stock rather then just recommend it.

Tech Support is closed, and depending on what time you're going to the dealer, they may not open until after that (usually 9ish, or a little before).

Worst case scenario, leave the tune on the car and just tell them not to flash the computer. I did that on Tuesday, because my car won't run on a stock tune. From what we've heard, the lastest Cal for the Chally is not something you want anyway. Has a nasty throttle lag.
