U7151 ques?

Post by basadochi »

I own the U7151 programmer for the F150.. I have it loaded into my 2005 5.4 and had a couple of questions.... I have the latest revision in it as well

1 When I first crank my truck up in the morning the RPMs idle at 2000 and slowly go down.. Why is this? Never did this before I installed the tuner
2 What are the best settings for a high flow exhaust and K&N CAI?? I just want to get the fuel curve and spark right..
3 What would my Revs per mile be on a 35in tall tire?

The local diablo dealer doesn't mess with dynoing trucks and I dont know of another one around here....sooo that kinda rules out custom tune
just looking for a little help

basadochi, can you provide us with the calibration ID found in Options, Troubleshooting. Did you install the CAI and exhaust the same time you did the Predator?

Thanks,

Go into "OPTIONS" then go into "TROUBLESHOOTING" then select "SHOW CALIBRATION ID" then give me the calibration ID so I can pull it up from our database and look at the tune. This will help me to see if the tune could cause the high revving on startup.

The typical adjustments for a K&N are usually +5% fuel

What Brand/Model are the tires and what is the size on the sidewall. I can look up that particular tire and give you a number.

Thanks,

Not to try and thread jack but is that adjustment made with the MAF setting going up 5% or the WOT fuel curve up 5%??

My calibration ID is RXCM4E2..... ok, but why is my revs jumping to 2000 rpms when I crank it up.... and the brand tires are Toyo open country M/T 35x12.50r17aired to 40PSI

The revs jumping is most likely caused by the cold air kit altering the maf signal. When you combine multiple aftemarket parts you may end up with minor issues such as this. To fix it you would need to have it looked at by an experienced tuner.

Tire revs per mile for that model are 596.
