Question about rev limit

Hi guys, i had a quick question about the rev limiter option, i'm going to be doing sled pulls this coming weekend with my truck, i modified a few things on the diablo tune including the rev limiter (Increased it by 1,000), would it be safe to do this with a 04 Chevy 6.0L or am i putting my engine at high risk doing this? Pulling the sled will most likely have it hitting the rev limit since i'll be running 1st gear, 4 low pulling 6,000 pounds. Just wondering if anyone had some opinions on this. Thanks.

When I had my o5 5.3 dynod they increased it by only 600rpms but I have no clue about pulling.

I'd probably try to keep it below 6800 rpm or so if possible....

I have mine set at 6490rmps.
