custom tune/catalytic converters removed

Post by Fast-Orange »

Hi i have an 01 gmc sierra 2500hd 4x4, i have a U7198 version V.9r17. I have the both catalytic converters removed, i used the tuner to disable the temp fueling adjustment and bought simulators for the o2 sensors to keep the cel off. However i still get codes p0140 and p0160 for insufficient o2 sensor activity. Is it possibe to get a custom tune to remove all of the rear o2 sensor codes?

Thanks!

Do you have COT in your menu? Some of those codes are in there if you have that option.

I am able to adjust COT, i set it to 1200 when i modify the tune. There is no code listings or anything like that to modify unless im looking in the wrong places.

yes, I can certainly get you hooked up! you have the pc interface kit for the predator right?? that's the usb/serial cable and power adapter you need so that you can connect it to your Windows PC in order to import/export tune files...

I can do just the trouble codes and related items disabled for only $35...

or I can do a complete custom tune for your vehicle (including the codes), for only $135...

With the custom tune, you'll gain even better/quicker throttle response & acceleration, stronger/harder pull, smoother & quicker power delivery throughout the rpms, etc... and sometimes, maybe even a little better gas mileage - if you can keep your foot out of it! hahaha...

as far as gains go or track times, it all depends man.. absolute hp/tq gains are hard to predict... every vehicle is different... even if they're the same and have similar mods... location/weather, fuel used, elevation/altitude, etc etc all play a role... the same holds true for mileage gains - those variables, plus driving habits/style, how much highway vs. city driving, etc all make a difference.... you could gain no mpg increase, or you could gain up to about 3 mpg increase... tough to say due to the variables in play...

I CAN tell you that you will have a very noticable performance difference/gain over and above the canned preset diablo tunes...

I have gained people anywhere from 15-39hp, and 12-23lb. ft. torque, and 1-3mpg - over and above what the diablo tunes give you to start with... again, obviously mods, fuel used, etc all played a role in who gained what...

What I'd need from you is a copy of your "original backup" stock tune file, a copy of the "last tune written" tune file, and the paypal (there are "Buy Now" paypal buttons on my site), and that's it... then we're good to go. and I can usually have the initial custom tune done and sent back to you within 24 - 48 hours from the time that I receive everything.

Here's info about my custom tuning:

http://www.diablewtune.com/

there are links on there to all the info/instructions and programs you'll need - i.e. what tune files I need, how to export/import tune files, link to data logging info/instructions, paypal "Buy Now" button etc... as well as a link to just a small sample of just some of the "Testimonials" I've received from people I've done my tunes for - makes for good reading, hehe.

once I get the initial custom tune done and sent back to you and you install it, I have you put on some miles for a couple days so that the fuel trims and other items get relearned by the ecm and settle in, and then I'll have you do a data log for me so I can check the fueling/timing/etc and do some fine-tuning adjustments... Send you an updated tune file, have you do another data log to check things... make any more adjustments for part-throttle if needed, and it's on to the WOT fun! hehe... Then I have you do a WOT data log for me, etc.

Thanks for asking man, I appreciate it!!

please feel free to hit me up if you have any questions...

Thanks!

well, diablosport makes programmers that work on diesels, yes.. they come with preset tunes on them for different HP gains/tunes... but there is no custom tuning available for GM diesels... you can use the 60-100hp tunes/adjustments that are on the programmer for that vehicle...
