3.6L Pentastar Car Support

Post by 348HEMIRAM »

Congrats on being the first to bring the 2011+ tuning for the Mopar guys! As expected the HEMI and Jeep guys with the most demand got dibs on the first round of vehicle tuners. Next question is what is it looking like for the 3.6L cars to receive some tuning? Specifically myself and many others are looking for 2011+ Avenger/200 3.6L support. Thanks for all the great work you guys have done. I imagine the 2011+ Mopar undertaking wasn't a cheap venture with all the new security they have...But it should definitely pay off in the end.

It'll depend if they use the same computer as the rear drivers and the trucks. If they do, they have a much better chance then if they don't. If they don't then theres a snowballs chance in hell. Thats why they never supported the 3.5 in the front drivers. Not a big enough market to crack a new computer.

Awesome news thusfar. Looking forward to possibly seeing something. I believe the RWD and FWD 3.6L cars use a GPEC controller...(hopefully thats right?). But obviously just cause its the same type of controller doesn't mean its programmed the same correct?

I drive a 2012 Dodge Avenger R/T and would be interested in support for the Pentastar 3.6.

In particular, I would hope to see the trinity unit supply the following tunes for the engine:

87 Octane Performance Tune
91 Octane Performance Tune
Mileage Booster Tune
Modify Stock
Diablo Tune

I would also hope to be able to have a modified tune to take advantage of bolt on modifications such as CAIs and performance exhausts.

I would also be very interested in this. I have a 2011 Avenger 3.6L, This would be well worth the money.

Hey there Van. So, if you guys can potentially do the tune for the 3.6L Avengers, is there any hope for the 3.5L ones then? I thought that the reason we didn't get one when the 3.5 Chargers and such got them was because of our 6-speed...but since the 3.6L Avengers use the same transmission, does that mean that the older Avengers could get tunes too then? Thanks for your time.

The 3.5s will never be supported. They're old news and had no performance aspirations.

Well Mike, since the 3.5L has already been tuned by them, and now the 6-speed will be, I don't see why they couldn't add the older Avengers to the Trinity or Predator. It's not like it'd be extra work for them. The only thing it'd be is extra money. And just because it's not the latest and greatest car/engine, doesn't mean that people don't own them. Not everyone buys the top-end car every 2 years...
