When I leave the tuner connected to the jeep via the OBDII port, the factory remote start/keyless entry range is significantly less than when it is not plugged in.
Is there a reason for this?

there may be some interference, try moving the Trinity to a different location.

no interference. if i simply unplug the trinity from the obdii port, but still leave it mounted in the exact same spot, the remote start works perfectly.
Re: problem w/2011 Jeep JK
know whats even worse?
i have a remote keypad mounted outside my garage that i can put in a code to open a door. garage has three doors. three different codes. for some odd reason the garage opener thats directly above the jeep wasnt working. reprogrammed the code, still nothing. pop open the jeep door, unplug the trinity tuner (mind you the jeep is parked, turned off, and the tuner is in "sleep mode") and try the same code - garage worked perfectly.
plug the tuner back in - garage opener doesnt work.
why would the tuner be broadcasting a frequency or signal that interferes? not only this, but with my remote start as well??

love the feedback on this forum.
ditched the tuner - still running the program, but diconnected the trinity from the jeep. got a Aeroforce gauge that plugs in the obdII port as well - but has no interference. garage door openers work, remote start/keyless entry works................
its amazing.

Re: problem w/2011 Jeep JK
I just noticed the same thing on mine tonight. Usually always remote cranks from my office. Installed my trinity last night and coming out of the office it wouldn't remote crank. Had to put the key fob to your chin trick to get it remote crank from just 30 feet away.

Same thin happens with my '11 JK. Even makes my radar detector go crazy too. Any update on getting this fixed Diablo?

Has there ever been a discovery found for the reason for this?
