hemi 6.1 swap into an RT

Hi all,

So, my 5.7 decided it didn't want to be around and I swapped in a 6.1 into my 2005 magnum. I actually ended up swapping the entire drivetrain back to the axles since I was at it.

I got the Srt8 PCM with the engine and transfer, so that board is in the car at the moment.

The problem we are having is that the abs controller will not initialize with the 6.1 pcm, it throw a configuration mismatch error. The current thought is that if we put the 5.7 pcm back in, it will allow the abs/traction control to initialize.

If I swap the original 5.7 pcm into the car, can I push the 6.1 tunes to the pcm? Would this be considered the same as pushing a custom tune?

so the car is starting and running. ?

If the car is starting and running all you have to do is tell you engine tuner to set the engine scaller from 6.1 to 5.7 so that abs will like the codes being received from the pcm.

My buddy did this swap a few months ago and was having similar issue, the problem is the 6.1 PCM is married to the vin, you need to get it flashed at the dealer and all should be grand!

Hello all. New to the forum. Looking to do this to my 2012 Charger Pursuit. What engines would be applicable? Would a 6.4 swap into a 5.7 Charger with a new PCM? Or is this only possible with a 6.1? Can a 6.4L from a heavy duty Ram be put into my car?
