How to change shift points and shift firmess?

Post by SixIron »

Bought a new InTune from a dealer with the tune he provided for my 2012 Mustang GT Premium with Auto tranny and CAI. I've been driving it a couple of weeks and both the shift points and firmness are anemic. Under moderate acceleration it shifts from 1st gear thru to 4th gear before I hit 40 mph. It isn't much better under full throttle accelaration. I've been thru the menus but I have to admit, I'm fairly clueless on these things. How can I get these shift points and firmness adjusted?

Thanks in advance.

You should be able to find that in "Adjustable Parameters". Should give you options to increase/decrease the shift firmness. You should also be able to raise the RPM for the shift.

AirAid MIT AEM filter

2008 Silverado Ext. Cab 6.0L Vortec Max

Ok. Under Adjustable Parameters it says JLT Induction. The only adjustable menus below that are:
Mass Air Function
Rev & Speed Limits
Spark Advance
WOT Fuel
Axle Ration
Cam Timing
Idle RPM

I ain't seeing anything pertinent to what I want to do.

there are no shift settings for the 5.0s currently, what are you looking to adjust?
