I had recently had the latest files starscanned to my car, which ended my 6 month battle to get SC to work right, and see 5th gear and shift well.

On install, I followed the directions, and updated my Diablo for my 06 R/T. Then installed 91 CAI with shift firmness, paddle shift, and tire sizing.

I went through r14, 8t16a, and still see no 5th gear at any time.
Also the gear indicator stays in the highest gear I paddle shift to, but actually goes back into 1st at a stop, then shifts like in D, untill I hit the gear indicated on the dash, then it hold the rpm till I paddle shift up.

What Exactly does get updated when I downloaded the needed update. did it change my TCM or PCM files?

I'm also following that thread.

I went to stock and did the battery disconnect. Back to the latest version (17), and no difference - except it runs great, just auto sticks funky.

Back to stock and then to SC V1.11, and now found 5th in that version again??? It's just very boring after experiencing the sporty increase of Diablo.

I then reset my tuner to 8r14, just to give it a try. It was really ugly, unable to shift and performance not to good - so set the tuner back to 8r17.

Nothing I've tried is of any value in helping to resolve the issues.

The tranny seems to function normal in drive, downshifting when I jump on it, and drives great under partial throttle.

I have a hard time just finding a piece of road to get on it and verify whats happening
