running pradator diagnostic help needed

I can not find the manual for the predator anymore and need to run a diagnostic for my engine light on? 2006 Charger R/T. Not sure of the correct steps? Any help out there?

From the main menu go down to Diagnostics. Trouble Codes, Display Trouble Codes. Its something like that. The wording may have changed over the years.

My quandry is do I start the engine first, let it run for 5 minutes, then plug the predator in and run the diagnosis? Do I have to read the trouble codes while it is plugged in? Thanks you for any guidance.

Nope. Just plug it in and read them. It may have you turn the ignition to On, with the motor not running. You don't have to run it at all though to read the codes.
