I have my 2011 silverado 1500 z71 on the 87 octane tune and it works great except shifting from 1-2, and 2-3 it shifts so hard it twists the whole truck and feels like its going to snap the rear end and tranny. I have turned the shift pressures down to -6 and still hasnt gotten any better so can someone tell me what to do before it breaks something in my drivetrain??

try going positive on the pressure setting... going positive should actually reduce pressure the way the pressure tables are done in the gm tunes....

When I did my 2010, going NEGATIVE made the shifting more sloppy. Going POSITIVE firmed it up. Am I missing something? I thought going + added and going - took away pressure? That's how it seems to work with mine from day 1 anyway.


Still have to get my custom tune finished up on my 08. It's freezing cold and snow/ice here now that I am actually home so can't really do any logging. Probably going to have to wait until better weather gets here again?

not sure man, I've never used the tcm parameters via the tool itself, always just went right to custom tune... I know one of the settings, either firmness or quickness, if you went negative it made it harder/quicker...

Yeah, we don't have the "quickness" option on our tool. Must be a Software thing within you CMR custom tuning software.

When the inTune was first released, the firmness adjustment to increase was going toward the left (-) of the screen. After the big update with the torque management added, that was changed and you had to go to the right (+) to increase the firmness.
