SRT8 Question --- HELP

OK, I have a 05 SRT8, CAI, Zoomers, and a 180 t-stat.

I just raced a new 2011-2012 challenger RT from a 70mph roll and I could not pull him... WTH

I have a Predator 91 + CAI tune in the car and raised shift points.

The car just doesnt fell right, it feels like it wont down shift into the proper gear for max accelleration and
it also feels weird at WOT, If I let up on the throttle a tad the car speeds up (more power), if I floor it it feels
like I am losing power (am i lean?).. I hear no knock and I only have 38k on the car.

What gives? I should have pulled on that challenger. Anyways I put the stock tune back in until
I find out what is going on....

you usually won't hear much knock if you have knock, since knock sensors will pull spark to stop knock.

datalog rpm, ST knock, LT knock, spark cylinder 1, mph, MAP to use and PRatio, and see what's happening.

do you have a catch can? if no, you probably have oil in your intake manifold, which will cause a lot of knock. 6.1 intakes are notorious for getting oil in them.

don't sell a 11- 12 Chally R/T short, they are light, and new VVT 5.7 Hemi's make good power.

which 05 SRT8 do you have? Magnum? Charger? Chrysler? Jeep?

pretty similar to 05 SRT8 Charger. it is heavier than the Chally RT you raced.

do some datalogging and see if you have knock.

you can log your stock tune, don't have to have a performance tune to do logging.

if you knock with stock tune, you probably were knocking more with raised spark in performance tune you tried.

BTW, when you raised your shift points, did you raise rev limit too? need to raise rev limit for that, or the raised shifts will bump into rev limit.

Not only in your charger heavier, but the new 5.7 makes about the same power as the early SRTs did, Id fully expect a 11-12 Chally 5.7 to pull on a 06-08 SRT8 model.
