Trinity Killing my Battery

Post by Rock$tar »

I have my trinity installed, but if i leave my truck for about a week, it kills my battery.

I came home this time, battery would not start my truck and all the LEDS on the trinity were lit up. Is there a solution to this problem?

Also, is there a way to disable the stupid blinking yellow led while driving and the screen is off. Its annoying and distracting at night on a dark highway to have that led blinking in your eyes and i have my trinity mounted on the pillar so i dont want to go removing it all the time when i drive on the highway at night.

try options/set sleep monitoring to 60 seconds.

the yellow LED should only flash when the tool is sleeping, which should only be when it is off....

A lot of times when i get in my truck, i don't touch the tool, i just leave it so the screen stays black, but then you get the yellow led blinking. Is there a way to turn that off, and i already set the sleep time to 60 seconds. tuner is still killing my battery?

Question do you keep the Trinity on the main menu screen when you leave the trunk?
If not you need to do so...

Here is what I found to be the case with me. The menu screen IMO is the the true sleep mode screen. Others screens /apps that are running and recording will continue reading after the Trinity goes into sleep mode. which will use up your battery if your truck is not on. Since making sure the Trinity was on the main menu screen before leaving my car has resolved my battery issue. Also if you are not going to be in your trunk for a few days. you are better off just disconnecting it. If you drive your truck every day that leaving it connected should not cause any battery issue if you keep it on the Main Screen when you leave your truck. Again If I know that I will not be driving my car for two days I just disconnect it

As for the yellow light flashing while you are driving... I don't think there is a way to eliminate that. The best you could do is put a real small piece of black tape over it..
