Is the best mpg going to be the mileage booster, or will it be better with running a premium fuel & premium 91 tune, or other? Also, if I run mpg tune, can I specify 87, 89, 91? Which would give the best mpg? Hope that makes sense.

final MPG is heavily dependent on driving style, best bet is to try a tank of each tune and see which works best for you.

If mostly highway, the MPG booster tune is the best option.

Sounds good, thanks. Also, am I able to select the grade fuel if I use the mpg tune? Or is it stock to 87?

mpg tune is for minimum of 87 on the trucks.

I had a custom tune for both mpg booster and performance tune as well as a trans tune--- the custom tunes work way better if you add any other power adders like a CAI, exhaust etc..... I used TSS for mine prices were fair

I'm testing the MPG Booster tune on my 05 2500 w/hemi and auto. So far it has not been any better than stock (finishing up my 3rd tank). Going to test the 87 performance tune next (fillup is tomorrow). Hope that shows improvement.

if you have any power adders like a cai or exhaust you will need to get a custome tune to take full advantage of the gains on the rams. I asked this question a year ago and did alot of digging into it and the pcv system is set up different-- i know over at TSS if you want to mod the canned tune its like $30 for that and that will tweek it for your power adders if you do have them--- when i first started i got better fuel eco with the perf tune then the MPG booster tune. But theres alot of contrubuting factors to fuel consumption- driving style, weather, idle time etc....

My 05 Ram is bone stock. I don't plan to spend more money for a custom tune unless somebody has good stats to backup a recommendation. I'm posting my results at dodgeforum.com.

when did the 2003 get the mpg booster tune? when i was still using the tunes on the hand held there wasn't an option for it.

Does TSS have a website? I also have an 05 ram hemi with cai, etc.
