InTune CAI load causing power loss ?

I am really new to this whole tuning saga, so please bare with me :D

I have a 2008 Chrysler 300c 5.7 I have a Mopar CAI and a Viper cat back system installed. Everything else engine wise is stock. Not sure if it makes any difference but I also have 22"s on the car (have not set up in the intune yet). While I was at my exhaust company on Monday I loaded the CAI tune on the car and ran a dyno test. I lost both power and torque. (I have connected the unit and updated it before I did anything as well) If I recall, when I connected the unit to the car, I was given the option of Diablosport tune, CAI tune, MPG saver (or something like that) and custom tune. The reason I chose CAI was because after I installed it a few weeks ago, my MPG rating went down the toilet - hence I was hoping this would help sort it out. Maybe I should have gone straight with the Diablosport tune?

I guess I am not sure if using the CAI tune should result in the losses I have mentioned, or if this is normal ? Everyone seems to speak about such amazing gains etc using the InTune, so now I am just confused.

What kind of differences should I see between the CAI and diablosport tune ?

I should mention, this is an export car as I am in South Africa - Using 95 unloaded RON.

Tx in advance !

what fuel in the tank?
did you log for knock?

better yet, if you had never put it on the dyno, would you not think the car 'felt' better?

Thanks

Logging is most important at this point. Because if we're commandin ghte timing and it's just pulling it all out you'll see this. the crankcase evac systems/intake manifiolds normally need ot be cleaned out and a catchcan put on the engine to prevent future oil build up and then everything should go back to normal. You need to log it though to make sure.

Its using 95 RON unleaded.

I have a log from before the tune, and I will do another log in the next day or 2 and post both up.

In terms of feeling - the gear changes seem more consistant. Does not "hunt" for gears at lower speeds like it used to. But no, forgetting the dyno test, I honestly feel no other difference at all. Not on pull off, cruise or overtake. It does look like the MPG is improving as well.

Just a single instance? Or multiple ? How long should each one last ? Is there a certain speed / level I should top out at ?

Sorry, I just wanna make sure I do this right :)

95 RON cannot be used on the CAI tune. You need to use the 91 CAI tune. 95 RON is garbage gas, just like out 91. Its absolutely positively knocking.

There was only 1 option for a CAI tune. Am I doing something wrong that I should be seeing more options? As I recall there was only the CAI, Diablosport, MPG saver and custom.

Theres only 1 CAI tune on the 5.7 LXs? Thats strange, I had 2 with both my 6.1s. Probably gonna have to pull timing, I'm thinking 2 degrees to start with, but lets see what the techs say.

there is a perf cai and a 91 cai tune, add a little fuel if its knocking.
