Calibration update failed on 2012 challenger RT

Post by RTchally »

Hello,

I have a 2012 challenger RT. I am not able to update the PCM with the calibration update.
I see others have had this problem and needed to reset the device. I guess I might be giving you fine folks a call. :D

I am not sure why I would need to reset it though, I didn't have any issue updating it when I first attached it to my PC. It did its update, then I took it to my car, it wanted the calibration file so I took it back to my PC, it updated it with the calibration file. I then took it back to my car, then during the last operation of the update it fails during the key cycles at 99%.

inTune updater, version: 1r01m

<tool_info>
<main full_version='InTune-1r03h 02/25/2013 05:23:14 PM' sw_rev='1r03h' svn='5947'/>
<registration sn='IGQUT1F-2' status='1'/>
<cal_id PCM='05156129AD'/>
<restore id='0' vin='2C3CDYBT8CH124917' bc='0'/>
<system_db info='1r01b' dtc='1r01a' vin='1r01c'/>
<db mfr='DCX' tune='1r01b' pid='1r01a'/>
<db mfr='FORD' pid='1r01a'/>
<db mfr='GM' pid='1r01a'/>
<license avail='1' tuned='0'/>
<updates count='4'/>
<oem tool_oem='DIABLODCX'/>
</tool_info>

Also, If I have a Mopar CAI and a Mopar cat back exhaust, will I be able to adjust a tune to benefit these items?

let it recover, leave the key in the run position, and do not cycle the key, just click the check marks when prompted to.

Thanks

That did it! Thank you very much.

I also never cycled the key during any of the other processes, and this also allowed the PCM back up and Dablo tune to be written and saved. :D

I do have a quick question.
If I have a Mopar CAI and a Mopar cat back exhaust, will I be able to adjust a tune to benefit these items?
Would this involve a custom tune?

the cai may want a little fuel added, try 5% at WOT in all 3 rpm ranges.

Is adding the 5% WOT typical with all vehicles when using CAI's ? Just wondering since I added a CAI to my 2012 ram last night & I'm using the 91 tune.

Mike,

I have the 2012 durango rt hemi. I just set up the 87 tune and everything is working good even though it took over an hour to get it calibrated with a couple trips to the computer.

I have a k&n cai and bbk 85mm throttle body and removed the mid-muffler. Should I do a 5% increase to the fuel to the wot on all 3 of the ranges? When I change it would it put it to the +(to right) or - (to left)? To the right it says lean. Does that mean the car is lean or that your making the car lean?

Any other paramaters I could change that could help?

Thanks,

Brian
