why a forum so full of so many problems with the tuners

It appears the the whole forum is nothing but problems with the tuners and getting the right functions to work. Very few success stories. I too am a victim of a failed product (InTune!) Now my Jeep is sitting dead all because of a bad tuner. Why Doesn't DS just send good ones out to the folks who received bad ones, and we would be happy to return the junk ones, rather have us try to trouble shoot them??? Are they made in china or India?? so quality control is bad?? Really! We customers have expectations of a good tuner, and spend good money for it, not to have to spend hours trying to program the damn thing. Then have it fail to complete the task. Then our vehicles are screwed. DS! Please feel free to respond. Thank you!

because no one ever posts to say "working fine, no problem" heh.. the only time people post about anything is when they have an issue... heh...
do you ever call a company to tell 'em "hey, I just bought your XYZ, it's working fine, thanks!" ?? no... but you call 'em when there's a problem with it right?

As a matter of fact I do call the companies that put out good products! I also have a few great personal relationships with many parts manufacturers that have gone beyond awesome customer service and quality stuff. I just didn't see but a few that has posted anything but frustration with the new I tune. Do you have or can still use the predator? I am one of your customers that has my vehicle sitting like a expensive useless hunk of metal, all because of the InTune tuner, I hope we can resolve the issues quickly and painlessly. I'm not saying any others are a better product, I was sent this one with my supercharger. Maybe you guys are the best? I don't know. But I do see a lot of negative posts, and I already have felt the frustration of a failed product! JMHO. Fix my problem, and I will post the results! Deal??

what is the problem you are having exactly?
As mentioned, you don't hear from 95% of our customers here.
We sell 1000s of tools a month, yet we get maybe 10-15 new forum member a month....when you do the math, it seems there are very few people actually having issues.
Thanks

+1 on all the replies. A very small percent of customers will take the time to give a positive feedback when a product purchased is working as advertised. As you said, it is what we consumers EXPECT!!! So why comment on it if we're already expecting it? Good on you for actually taking the time to let a company know when they're doing well.
I'll try to start something here... If your inTuner is working fine, let's let chopper know, so he'll feel a little more reassured.
Don't take this the wrong way. I noticed the same thing you did when I was researching the product. I had a different realization though. I realized that the customer service is great with this forum, and getting a problem solved would be easy.
In every thread you'll see a response to someone's question or a solution to their problem. The only difference with this and other companies for any product you can think of, is you get an actual visual image of their customer service by viewing this forum.
I can't imagine Microsoft's statistics or another major company!!
So let me be the first to say in this thread, that my inTuner is working GREAT!!!! I've got a wideband A/F gauge with which to tune. I'm able to add fuel where I need it. I'm able to view my knock indications and pull spark timing as necessary in order to keep my pistons protected.

thanks for noticing, and enjoy the tuner

If the Trinity would come with real instructions, I don't think people would have problems.

I would also like to say that my inTune has been flawless. I have had my 87 octane/DoD delete/Firm shifts installed for over a week now, and it is awesome!

Today is April 1st! and this is no joke! I was able to finally get ahold of Diablo, also Ross The owner from RIPP who call's me back directly. After a not too bad wait this time on the phone. I was able to get my device re programed over the phone. WORKS LIKE A CHARM!!!!

The power the RIPP and tune did is fantastic! Thank you Diablo for correcting the problem,(wish it was fixed before the weekend tho!) I am Pleased! I hope any future updates turn out well. Do you think maybe you could put in the decoder code in the box if it gets stuck in recovery mode. then nobody has to try and call to unlock and reset it. Thank you again for helping resolve the problem!

the only improvement I could see, is the sensitivity needs to be adjusted.
other than that, it's perfect for me-no complaints here

I'm guessing that most problems are related to the user and not the device. One should thoroughly read and understand the user manual before doing anything else. Also, not every exact senario can be anticipated by the folks at DS.
Simple things like older PC operating systems, service packs, user configurations that some people (or their AntiVirus) create on their PC, etc.. are difficult to anticipate and make adustments so that their software to handle them all.
Simple issues like connection to OBD2 not fully plugged in, user impatience with the touch screen, turning on ignition at the improper time, leaving on accessories that cause a low voltage in the system, etc... can cause frustration when one is not aware these things are the actual problem, not the tuners fault.
My first time with the updates was not perfect, but it finally worked out and I have my 5.3 GMC all tuned up and running well. I think its a great product, easy to understand and use, and works as they advertise.

Think of it as a call center or tech support forum. If you go to the Apple forum it's full of people having issues with their computers. Google your car make model for a forum and go to it. It's probably full of people having problems with their car and common issue resolutions. If people don't report the issues they don't get corrected. I've been running my intune on my Duramax for a few months and have never had an issue. If you think of the number of supported drivetrains in this tool you have to add that factor into the equation too.

While I understand your frustration, I must say that even though I have had a couple of issues with my tuner, the tech and customer support have been FANTASTIC!! All it really takes is a little patience and good communication of exactly what is wrong with your Intune. I too saw lots of issues on this board before I decided to buy the product, but I also knew that the tunes would be great and the customer service would be there if needed.
I am glad to see you were able to get your issue ironed out.
Keep up the great work Diablosport
