Thanks for the quick reply. Is there a charge involved with the return form? It's asking my to fill out credit card info, like it's going to charge me something.

as long as you send it with a copy of the receipt for warranty, no charge.

I would start an RMA return on it. They fixed me up, and I had mine back in just over two weeks. Most of that time was spent in transit, though... Colorado to Florida.

Mike, thanks for the support and the quick turn around on this. I do have another question now, though. The day after I picked it up at UPS, on my way to the truck with it, I dropped it. The screen cracked and now the touch function of the screen doesn't work, but all the other functions of the tuner seem fine. I know I can use the Trinity from just the navigation buttons, but could this be indicative of a worse problem I should be worried about? How much would replacing the screen cost me? Thanks again.

I wouldnt be worried about it, but...we can replace it, out of warranty repairs are generally $99 + shipping

Thanks for the reply. I assume if the circuit board inside or anything serious was messed up, it likely would not have come on? I just wanted to verify before I try to tune my truck later today.

This screen problem is STILL going on?
My Trinity from several years ago had a screen like that; I just figured a shltty screen was normal.

They fixed the pock marks. I would imagine it's just a side effect of mass production. But like I said, the day I got it back I dropped it and cracked the screen. Everything still worked, minus the touch function. I didn't feel it was worth $99 just to get that back.

In 2010 another user (goodkd) posted that his screen was "speckled"... and I chimed into the thread that mine was like that too. Mike, you said it was interesting and you'd look into it but I saw no more traffic on the subject.
It's not a huge deal, cosmetic only, but still an issue that may be more common than you think. But I really don't know. As great as the work is that you guys do, I'd hate to see you get a reputation for crappy screens.
The issue is only apparant when direct sunlight is shining on the screen. I'm so use to it now that it doesn't bother me; but it kinda does. I'l get a pic in the daylight tomorrow.
