TCM question

Post by cblackard »

I am curious about some of the parameters that can be modified in the TCM, specifically the RPM Shift points. What are these and how do they affect the transmission shifting?

I looked in the user manual buy do not see specifics on what these parameteres do and what affects you get. It would be nice to get a more comprehensive look at all of the common adjustable parameters for the ECM and TCM.

If there has been documentation on this, can someone please point me in the direction it is in? I tried the search, but got nothing useful.

Thanks

Is that based on WOT shifting?

Scrolling through the settings, the defaults seem to be in the 5200 -5500 range, but I know the shifts are not holding out for those RPMs during normal driving.
