I have a INtune and when plugged into the laptop it is not recognized.
is there somewhere I can download the intune software and drivers to reinstall?

there is nothing separate... everything is on the intune itself...
make sure your user account on your Windows PC is an administrator account... and also disable the UAC crap for your user account... User Access Control... change those settings and put the slider all the way to the bottom to disable it... save/apply the change, reboot, and try again...
