Need GM catch cans!!!

Post by Mike_Levy »

I already told you about the CTS-V getting oil in it a while ago, and now I pulled the TB on the Yukon and guess what? Oil in the mani again! Gotta expand the catch can line to LS motors. If Billet Tech doesn't want to do it for you, I'm sure there are other companies who do. :normal:

This is with just 5600 miles.

Oil on the flange.

Tons of carbon in the mani with a coating of oil on the bottom.

the only thing application specific about our cans is the bracket and hose lengths...it will work fine :)

I know you could find a good way to mount it ;)

I have been pushing to make a universal catch can part number, and just include no bracket and the longest hoses available....

I don't need it. I have no intention on having this truck past the end of the month, so if I kill it, not my problem. ;) But other people with LS motors need them.

I'll be looking for a can for whatever German Super-ute I decide on; X5 M, Cayenne Turbo or ML63.

Its nice that the recognize that theres a problem, and changed it on their hipo version of the LS. What about the rest? They get screwed. Same as the transmission tuning. The ZL1 got awesome tuning, but the CTS-Vs, and Corvettes suck. And the SUV tuning is the worst I've ever experienced. They can't bothered to update any of them to ZL1 tuning.

Anyway, Whats the price on that? I found a Moroso Catch can for the Vortec trucks. P/N 85481, runs $140-150.

Yeah it is nice they tried to resolve the problem! The Price of the kit is being sought after but so far know one knows, typical.
It will work on any V8 or V6 according to GM. I posted it more as a joke as the catch`n drip side is only half the problem. While WOT that is the side that is active, but for the PCV side which is active 99% of the time there are problems there. Even TSB`s about the valve cover baffle being improperly installed and very inadequate with oil filling the PCV line and into the intake. That side should have a IMPROVED catch`n drip device also.
